Senior Learning

Learning Environment

The Hoe Bridge Senior School is where preparations for GCSEs begin.

In the classroom, subject specialist teaching staff will deliver an engaging and forward-thinking curriculum which encourages intellectual curiosity.

Pupils will have personalised devices, which will allow them to extend their research and thinking by exploring global voices. The GCSE hub contains state of the art facilities and classrooms that are spacious and adaptable to allow for group collaboration and class discussion.

The weekly timetable contains a dedicated reading for pleasure lesson, critical thinking lessons and an independent study session at the end of each day. Independent study is an opportunity for pupils to complete prep work and revision in school, with the added option of attending subject clinics to meet with specific teachers for additional support and complete practical work in specialised rooms.

The Senior School will focus on creating a balanced and broad curriculum with endless opportunities to encourage independent thinking. Hoe Bridge pupils will be happy and confident learners with a desire to achieve the very best.
