Senior Girls and Boys

11+ & 13+ Scholarships

Hoe Bridge offer honorary scholarships, which carry no discount on fees and a small number of scholarships which carry a percentage fee reduction that is decided by the school.

These apply for entry into Year 7 and Year 9, to prospective and existing children of the school.

All children are automatically considered for an academic scholarship award, based on sitting our external examinations or for existing children, our internal examinations. Candidates can apply for a maximum of two other subjects, sport, art, DT, music or drama outside of the academic examination.

By applying for a further two subjects a child is automatically considered for a Headmasters Scholarship.

Hoe Bridge honorary scholars and scholars are recognised for their exceptional ability or potential in a chosen field. They will benefit from a programme of enrichment activities such as concerts, lectures, sporting events, trips, and other opportunities to further develop their skills. Honorary scholars and scholars are expected to be catalysts in their year group and beyond, take the lead and help others to aim higher whilst pushing themselves to their maximum potential. They should be an ambassador for their specialism and for the school in general and should be happy to act as a role model for their peers and others within the school.

Once received, scholarships customarily lasts throughout the child's time at Hoe Bridge,  but is subject to a satisfactory review of progress each year.

Parents must register their children for 11+ Assessment in the normal way by completing the online registration form. If you would then like to apply for a scholarship please click on the online application form below the scholarship you would like to be considered for. Current Hoe Bridge pupils do not need to complete this form and should just discuss their application with the Headmaster.

Only applications which fulfil the scholarship criteria will be considered. Following scholarship applications a specific scholarship reference will be sought from their school and shortlist candidates will be invited to our scholarship day in January of Year 6.

The closing date for 11+ registrations and scholarship applications is 1 November 2024.
