Music Scholarship candidates at 11+ should demonstrate proficiency in a first instrument (or voice) at Grade 4 or higher.
Candidates should present one piece on their main instrument and an additional prepared piece on a second instrument/voice.
Candidates will also have a brief aural test and, if offering an orchestral string, wind, or brass instrument, be asked to sight-read a simple passage of unseen music. An accompanist will be provided. Music scholars are encouraged to take music as a GCSE option.
