Pre-Prep Curriculum
Making Learning Fun
Your child’s learning path – established on joining us – is closely and continuously monitored to ensure the most appropriate teaching and a smooth transition to their Prep years.
Our curriculum is based around termly topics to make learning relevant, engaging and memorable. Learning is child-led but firmly guided and enriched by the knowledge and boundless energy and enthusiasm of our teachers. Subjects like phonics, literacy, handwriting and maths are complemented by music, expressive arts and PE. Termly topics are immersive, with decorated classrooms and corridors, frequent school trips and fun filled dressing up.
Pre-Prep at Hoe Bridge is the beginning of not only an excellent education, but of your child’s journey to becoming a respectful and responsible citizen. Respect for each other and the planet – including the importance of embracing diversity and inclusivity – are woven throughout our delivery of the curriculum right from the outset with our Early Years Global Action Curriculum.
Nursery
Both years of Nursery – which we call Twigs and Acorns – share an open-plan classroom with adjoining outdoor play area. Here, the children are closely guided to develop their knowledge, hunger for learning and life skills, true to our philosophy of child-led learning.
