We have two nursery options for families looking to join Hoe Bridge Nursery.
For families seeking year-round care, we have Greenfield Little School. Children can join Greenfield Little School from 6 months of age and attend for 50.6 weeks of the year in a traditional nursery style with opening hours of 07.30-6.00 pm. Children transition through the rooms of Fledgings, Owls and Robins as they grow. Families are invited to secure a place in Hoe Bridge Reception, and given priority over external families, but this is not automatic.
For families seeking term-time provision, we have Hoe Bridge Nursery. Children can join Hoe Bridge Nursery in the September following their 2nd birthday and attend during school terms only. The school day is 08.20 am until 3.15 pm (with wraparound care options available at additional charge).This nursery is a two year programme with children joining Twigs in the first year and moving up to Acorns in the second year. As a through school all children automatically transition into Reception and beyond at Hoe Bridge.
Children join Greenfield Little School year-round based on availability and move through the rooms based on age.

There are limited spaces available so please register your child for a place at Hoe Bridge School Nursery (including Greenfield Little School) early by completing our online registration form and paying the £120 registration fee here.
Hoe Bridge School (including Greenfield Little School) meet all prospective children before a place is offered into our Nursery, where the child is aged 2 or above.
For Greenfield Little School, all families are placed on a waiting list and places are offered 6 months’ ahead of entry.
For Hoe Bridge School term time only nursery:The offer of a place is sent to parents in the Summer Term, one year before the child's entry to Hoe Bridge. You will be required to sign our school contract and pay a £1,000 deposit within two weeks of your offer to confirm your child’s place. £250 of this deposit is refunded against the first term’s Reception fees. The remaining £750 deposit will be refunded at the end of your time at Hoe Bridge or by providing a term's notice of withdrawal if leaving sooner. Deposits are not reimbursed if a pupil leaves whilst in or at the end of Nursery.
For Greenfield Little School year-round nursery: For those registered more than 6 months ahead of entry, an offer of a place is sent around 6 months’ ahead of entry if a place is available, or as soon as possible thereafter for those remaining on the waiting list. To accept the place, a £250 deposit is required alongside signing of the contract. Where families later transition into Reception at Hoe Bridge, they are asked to pay an additional £500 deposit at the point of confirming. This £750 deposit is then refunded at the end of your time at Hoe Bridge or by providing a term's notice of withdrawal if leaving sooner. Where families leave Hoe Bridge at the end of their time in Greenfield Little School, or sooner if appropriate notice is given as per contract, the £250 is refunded.
For Hoe Bridge School term time only nursery: On accepting a place, children joining our Nursery and Reception classes visit Hoe Bridge for settling-in sessions in the Autumn, Spring and Summer Term in the academic year before they join. This is a chance to meet our teaching staff and make new friends ensuring a smooth transition and an exciting start to you all joining the Hoe Bridge family!
For Greenfield Little School year-round nursery: For those joining Greenfield Little School, settling sessions are arranged close to the child’s start date (preferably the week before). They will meet their key worker and begin to familiarise themselves with the setting. These usually take the form of two 1 hour sessions with parents staying for the first session and leaving the child in our care for the second session.
For Hoe Bridge School term time only nursery: In the first year of Nursery (Twigs) the number of sessions children can attend is flexible. In the second year of Nursery (Acorns) we ask for a minimum of 3 mornings up to October half term and 5 mornings or 3 full days thereafter. In the Summer Term, we then ask for attendance to all 5 mornings and any 3 afternoons.
For Greenfield Little School year-round nursery: Parents must commit to a weekly session schedule for their child. A session is either am (7.30 am -1.00 pm) or pm (1.00-6.00 pm). A full day counts as two sessions. Children must attend a minimum of 6 sessions per week and at least one of these sessions must be on either a Monday or a Friday.Ad-hoc additional sessions can be requested but are subject to availability and staffing.
For Hoe Bridge School term time only nursery: All children must be in by 8.55 am for the morning register. We also run a free early class which allows you to drop off from 8.20am (siblings of Prep Children from 8.10 am) until 8.55 am. Half day children go home before lunch at 12.15 pm and full day children stay until 3.20 pm.
For Greenfield Little School year-round nursery: The sessions are 07.30-1.00 pm (including breakfast and lunch) and 1.00-6.00 pm (including tea). We kindly request children to be in by 9.00 am. If they wish to have breakfast, they need to arrive by 8.30 am. Afternoon session collection is flexible based on parent need, but tea will not be finished until after 4.30 pm.
For Hoe Bridge School term time nursery, school fees are billed termly three times a year. For Greenfield Little School nursery, fees are billed monthly and payment is due in full on or before the 10th day of the month.
The cost of all meals and snacks is included, but nappies, wipes and formula must be provided where applicable. Children at both Hoe Bridge nursery and Greenfield Little School benefit from the use of our onsite Forest School, music sessions and PE/dance sessionswith specialist staff. They make use of dedicated outdoor playgrounds as well as soft play equipment and school resources that most nurseries do not have the space or funds to offer. For Hoe Bridge School term time only nursery: We offer wraparound care with a breakfast club starting at 7.30 am and after school care until 6.30 pm. Further information and costs can be found HERE.
Hoe Bridge also offers holiday camps under Hoe Bridge Camps for 9 weeks a year providing childcare for up to 43 weeks. In Nursery, holiday camps are only open to Hoe Bridge Nursery children. Click HERE for further information.
For Greenfield Little School year-round nursery: the nursery provision already covers 07.30 am -6.00 pm on a year-round basis and so no additional care is offered.
In all of our nursery provision, we have a 1:3 ratio for children under 2 years, 1:5 ratio for children aged 2 years old and a ratio of 1:8 for 3-4 year olds. When children move into Reception we have a maximum of 21 children in each of our three Reception classes with a teacher and teaching assistant.
