Owls children, aged 2-3 years, are provided with many opportunities to develop their emerging social skills, emotional literacy and physical skills whilst in the care of experienced, enthusiastic and committed practitioners. They also enjoy a varied curriculum which encompasses music, dance, PE, forest school, cooking, and creative fine motor development lessons with specialist teachers.
Parents of Owls children are invited to join stay and play sessions incorporating maths and literacy workshops and native language week.
Below is an example of what a day in Little School might look like:
| 07:30 | Arrival/Breakfast. A delicious selection of cereal, crumpets, toast and toppings. |
| 09:00 | Busy Fingers session focussing on fine motor skills |
| 10:00 | Snack time. Fruit three times per week, fresh bread once per week and a biscuit once per week. |
| 10:30 | Jazzy, jangly music session with one of our specialist music staff. |
| 12:00 | Lunch time - will it be a delicious curry or yummy bolognese? |
| 12:30 | Phew! Time for a rest. After a nap, there is time for child-led learning and transitional free-play with our many interesting resources and equipment. |
| 14:30 | Snack time |
| 15:00 | Outdoor play or a buggy & toddler walk around the grounds/forest school |
| 16:00 | Afternoon tea - will it be vegetable tagine, chilli con carne or everyone’s favourite: fish fingers! |
| 16:30-18:00 | Home time. The children enjoy more indoor/outdoor free play whilst they wait for home time. Wherever possible, your child’s key person will provide an in-person handover and let you know what they have been up to. |
