Sport plays a significant part in school life. Each child is involved in some form of physical activity each day. P.E. and games lessons are taken by specialist teachers and all pupils have the opportunity to develop their full potential in the basic skills of a wide range of sporting and physical activities.

The children at the Pre-Prep have full use of all the sports facilities available at school - a large multi-purpose sports hall, astro-turf, open air heated swimming pool, our own hall with specialised primary gymnastic apparatus and extensive playing fields under the direction of our own specialist games and swimming teacher.

The Prep Department has an impressive record in matches played against local schools, and when possible all children are given the opportunity to play in teams. Over the past years the high standards achieved have led to success at district, county divisional and national levels in cricket, football, netball, squash, swimming and tennis.  In November 2009 the girls U11 Hockey team became the IAPS National Champions, in March 2010 both the Boys and Girls U11 ‘a’ teams won the Surrey Mini Hockey Championships and in 2015, the Boys U13 Football were the IAPS Regional Champions. The Girls U11 team were crowned IAPS National Netball Champions in both 2014 and 2016 and 2016 also saw the 1st XI Football team crowned Surrey Prep School Champions!

During P.E. lessons the children have access to the large multi-purpose sports hall, a large all-weather pitch, an open air heated swimming pool, and extensive playing fields all on site.

The major seasonal games are athletics, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rounders, rugby, swimming and tennis with the emphasis placed on enjoyment as much as sporting excellence and success.
