Concert Blues

Published on 14 November 2018

Our latest Mini Informal Concert was a very enjoyable occasion which brought the day to an uplifting close. All the children who played did so with such conviction and the contrast between a bass guitar playing 'The Final Countdown' and a double bass 'A Little Blue' highlighted the differences in tone between these amazing lower pitched instruments. The electricity was felt with the fast notes in the 'Can Can' played on the flute and the audience particularly enjoyed the very detailed, thoughtful interpretation of JS Bach’s Rondeau (adapted for Viola) which was performed by Harry in Year 6. The Brass Trio then took to the stage to finish off the evening with a very bold, spectacular arrangement of Batman. What a super evening!
