Head of Key Stage 2 Science - Required for January 2020

We are looking to appoint a Head of Key Stage 2 Science who will stretch children’s understanding, innovate current practice and inspire passionate scientists of the future. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to assist in the leadership a forward thinking department which has a reputation for preparing children for future success in a large number of the best senior schools in the South of England. Results are outstanding at both Scholarship and Common Entrance and we would like to continue this standard whilst also exploring the latest educational practice. The ideal candidate is someone with character, driven to captivate children’s minds and passionate about making Science the most exciting subject within the curriculum. Our expectation is that leaders at our school show a desire to collaborate, inspire and develop within their Department, demonstrating the highest standards in terms of leadership, organisational and pedagogical skills with a willingness to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of this busy school. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the teaching and learning of Key Stage 2 Science. This is a full-time post.

Learning Support Assistant - Required Immediately

We are looking to appoint with immediate effect a reliable and trustworthy person to support and work with a child who is on the autistic spectrum. The post is for 20 hours per week working one-to-one for as long as the child remains at the School. Previous experience of working within a school environment would be preferable.

School Nurse - Required Immediately

We are looking to appoint a part-time School Nurse to provide temporary cover for staff illness. Commencing as soon as possible, the working hours are 1.00 pm to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday during term time only. Occasional overtime will be required for school events and for staff cover.

Salary: £11,023 pa (£918.58 per month), hourly rate: £12.25

Gap Year Assistant - Required for September 2019

We are looking to appoint a Gap Year Assistant who will be prepared to immerse themselves fully in our busy school. Our staff are sparky, innovative, dedicated and friendly, always looking for new ways to engage the children’s interest. We are looking for candidates who would like the opportunity to work in a school environment, who have a variety of interests and would like to work predominantly with the younger of our children. We are offering a fixed term contract from 1 September 2019 to 30 July 2020 with a salary in the region of £8,000 with the opportunities to increase this through after school activities and holiday clubs.  

An outline of Gap Year Assistant duties would be:

  • Participating in the day to day activities of the school
  • Being a proactive and committed member of staff
  • Assisting with general duties in the school
  • Assisting with school events and trips                                                                     

Minibus Driver - Required Immediately

We are looking to appoint a reliable and trustworthy person to drive a minibus to transport pupils to the School on a part-time basis. The School will initially operate two shuttle runs departing from Woking Station to Hoe Bridge. The successful candidate will have a valid, up to date and clean driving licence with a D1 entitlement. Previous experience of working within a school environment would be preferable.
