SIMS Database Manager (part time)

Hoe Bridge is a thriving co-ed Prep school for children aged between 3 and 13, offering excellent working conditions in a lively, fun and hardworking atmosphere. The School is looking to appoint an exceptional SIMS Database Manager for January 2019.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional SIMS Database Manager. Candidates should be suitably qualified, creative, enthusiastic and experienced. 

Responsibilities
  • To ensure the school’s SIMS database is operated and maintained efficiently and accurately
  • To develop the school’s use of its database, supporting its development plan, engaging in the latest initiatives in order to fully utilise the system and best serve the school
  • To provide staff with any information from the database that they need for their role and, through support and training, to enable them to use the system effectively
Key Skills & Experience
  • A high degree of experience using SIMS or a similar management system is essential
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in understanding the structure and functionality of the SIMS database to be able to populate the fields necessary for extracting reports and information required by the school
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify what is required and be able to deliver the results
Working Hours
  • The role is primarily a term time position with up to four weeks (20 days) worked during school holidays to undertake database housekeeping and/or to complete term end/year end reporting 
  • Normal working hours are 25 hours per week during term time, 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Monday to Friday, but flexibility is possible to meet varying workload demands.
