IAPS U11 National Sailing Regatta

Bright sunshine, 6 knots of wind and the wonderful location of the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy provided the backdrop for the 2nd IAPS National U11 Sailing Regatta on Thursday 19th May.

2 teams of Hoe Bridge School sailors, Hannah Birchall and Pollyanna Wright,  and Alice and Jack Boon, took to the seas in double handed Laser Pico sailing dinghies.  A fabulous day was had by all 64 competitors, representing their schools from all corners of the UK. Both Hoe Bridge teams sailed in the Silver Fleet.  Alice and Jack achieved 10th place, whilst Hannah and Pollyanna secured 1st place, bringing home the Gold medals.  Congratulations to them all!
