Sports Gala Dinner & Dance 2012
Sports Gala Dinner & Dance 2012
We are proud to announce that the 2012 Sports Gala Dinner & Dance will be taking place on Saturday 25 February and that Darren Gough, England, Yorkshire and Essex Cricketer will be our guest speaker. As an England cricketer and former Captain of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Darren was the spearhead of England's bowling attack through much of the 1990s. He is England's highest wicket-taker in one-day internationals and is England's ninth most successful wicket-taker. He retired from cricket in 2008. In 2005, he won BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and is now a presenter on talkSPORT’s afternoon ‘Drivetime’ show.
As in past years, this event promises to be a fantastic evening. We kick off at 6.30pm and after a fabulous five course dinner and raffle, our guest speaker will entertain the guests. This is followed by the auction of sports memorabilia including items such as a signed Chelsea FC shirt and a signed England cricket bat. The evening is finished by our live band and dancing.
