PSHE
These days we hear so much about Life Skills in the work place and at home. Here at Hoe Bridge Pre-Prep the teaching and development of these skills is at the heart of all that we do and is the basis of our Code of Conduct. Successful PSHE development is critical for young children in all aspects of their lives and gives them the best opportunity for success and self esteem in all the other areas of learning and development. Your child will be encouraged to communicate with others, to be tolerant, to see and respect another’s point of view, to understand right and wrong and to be aware of the effect that their actions may have on others.
Whilst there are specific lesson times allocated to PSHE it is a subject area that encompasses every minute of the day – playtime, lunch time, assembly – and often occurs incidentally as the children chat with one another and their teachers.
Through our activities the children are always keen to know
- Who will be part of the Friendship Team?
- Who will be awarded a much coveted Courtesy Badge at the end of the week?
- Who will be awarded the Friendship Plate at the end of term?
A strong thread links these achievements throughout the school community which enables us all to enjoy a happy, caring environment in which we all can thrive.
